I was mistaken about the hail. So very sorry and disappointed. There is no evidence of any hail on my hail pad. It was just the very heavy rain (~0.10" in 10 minutes. The cell dumped a total of 0.17") falling that looked like hail in the camera images.
Original, erroneous report:
Hail was observed thru my station's camera that is focused on my CoCoRaHS rain gauge. I have a hail pad set out near the gauge that will hopefully record the hail sizes. I will be able to analyze the images and other data from my Davis VantagePro2 wxsta and update this report. |
