Notes: |
Intense hail storm from small "popcorn" shower passing overhead. Temp was in low 50s and sunny skies were evident to the west throughout. Hailstorm started quickly, within ~30 seconds of initial hail fall and then "throbbed" for the next few minutes, i.e., heavy then lighter periods, before ending with the heaviest hail fall. And then, like a fireworks display, the hail ended abruptly. Only 15 minutes or so since this ended, the sun is shining and the rain has stopped but my gutter on the north side of the house is filled with hailstones. |
