Notes: |
No pad, but the yard was covered with hail that lasted for several hours. In fact, still have some this morning in shaded spots. Major damage to the trees and plants. Broken windows and skylights. Anything facing southeast that wasn't protected is damaged. Roof and AC unit (on roof) damage. Many broken windows in the neighborhood. Most roofs will need to be replaced.
I have a fairly new vent cover that is 1 foot square. It has 10 very obvious dents in it, and some smaller. Using this I'd estimate the hail was 10-12 per square foot (of the golf ball size).
I'm still cleaning up and waiting for the insurance adjuster to get to me.
I see now that the rim of my rain gauge is broken! |
