Soft, conical, opaque white hail began falling at about 3:00pm. Initially approximately 1/16" melted immediately on impact. As intensity increased by 3:05, larger (1/4") hail began to accumulate on dirt and grassy areas. Some thunder was heard, and the intensity of hail decreased. The shape became malformed clumps of snow crystals and then rain at 3:10 pm. Rain ceased shortly thereafter. |
