Small hail fell continuously but light from about 9:00 AM to about 3:00 PM at which time rain started mixing with it. At that time there was about 0.8 inch in rain gauge and on ground. Hail on ground seemed somewhat like sand, and could be shovelled around like sand. Later in evening estimated 0.1 inch ice coating built up on trees. Power outages were reported in the area, but not near my station. |
