I picked up one 5/8" hail pellet that had one side cleaved off so the interior was visible. From the center out, there was an irregular particle looking thing at the center less than 1/8" long x 1/16", then a thick layer of clear ice, next a layer of white ice, clear ice and on the exterior white ice. |
