I copied notes I wrote on daily precip papge:
Brief hail on 4/20 p.m. at 5:26, 5:29-5:34, 5:40-5:52, 7:20-7:21, 7:40 hail fading to rain. All were hard white ice, pea-sized except one of rice-sized in middle. Mostly over by 9:30 p.m., when measured 0.32", but still a little slushy stuff in funnel; 0.02 next a.m. Times are precise because the patio roof amplifies the noise. (Also new bathroom exhaust fan transmits sound of hail on tin vent!) The hail accumulated in grass to 1/4", so have reported this as "snow". Next a.m, still some partially-melted hail in grass ("T" snow). |
