Notes: |
Thunder heard fairly close-by, lightning or thunder hear or seen 4-6 times. Largest hail begin to fall before rain and continued for about 5-8 minutes. After largest hail stopped I gathered samples to be able to measure carefully after placing in the freezer. Reexamined hail to find the largest 3/4 inch and a few others were fused together looking like when biological cells are divided with 3 cells cuddled closely. At 8:47 heavy down pour with possibly small hail but not confirmed because of darkness, but it did sound like ice falling hitting wood and the sides of the house and windows. Rain came down at a rate of 3.47 just after the largest hail fell. Storm pretty much over at present. (8:59pm) |
