Hail started falling at 1332, several minutes after first "trace" of rain was noted and just a moment after heavy rainfall started. Initial size was 2 mm. At 1337 it was up to 5 mm then became smaller. Hail nearly stopped at 1341 then resumed at 1344, ending at 1347. Any damage to leaves that was noted (blown down from trees) more likely due to intense rainfall (a rate of 276.1 mm/h was recorded at peak). I have no hail pads set up. No accumulation of hail. Station elevation is ~375 m ASL. |
