 Overcast in the morning. System moved in from the SW late morning, brought heavy rain at 1130; read .29" at 1200. Another training cell at 1208, thunder and heavy rain for 10 minutes. Mostly cloudy period for a couple hours, then more moderate to very heavy rain with thunder and lightning. Dumped .45" at 1500 to remove small click beetle that was floating in little gauge; lived to see another day. More thunderstorms and moderate rain, tapered off by 1800; read 1.20". Mostly overcast during the night with some fog/mist. Overcast and 73.2° at obs time.
